Binchotan charcoal, also referred to as "white charcoal," is a natural and effective way to enhance the quality of drinking water. Simply place it in your chosen water container, wait a moment, and enjoy a refreshingly pure source of health and well-being. The practice of filtering water with charcoal dates back to the 17th century in Japan. Created by a distinctive process, Binchotan charcoal involves sustainably grown wood placed in a specialised kiln heated to 1,000°C, then swiftly cooled and treated with a unique sand and ash blend. The highly porous resulting charcoal absorbs harmful substances from the water and releases calcium, iron, and magnesium, which enhance the flavour of the water and offer health benefits.
Usage and care. To use, simply place a stick of charcoal in your water container and leave it overnight, if possible. The charcoal doesn't need washing or any treatment. While carbon deposits may appear in the water, they are harmless and even improve digestion, so enjoy the delightful taste of the water confidently. It is essential not to add fruit, herbs, or any other additives to carbon-filtered water. It can be used for up to 6 months. After 3 months, reactivate by boiling it for 10 minutes, then you are good to use it for another 3 months.
