For the past six years, designers Rui Pereira and Ryosuke Fukusada have collaborated on projects that combine Portuguese and Japanese culture, resulting in products that lead to new, unique design experiences. They met in Milan while working at the same design studio, where they discovered that, despite their very different backgrounds, they shared a common vision. Both designers focus on creating long-lasting products that can be passed down through generations, considering the emotional experience that the object provides. Working together, they naturally exchange different creative ideas, merging their cultural heritage, exploring all possibilities of materials and manufacturing methods, and using a purposeful design language to ultimately present clear, functional objects.
