Bruno Rey (1935–2019) was a renowned designer of Swiss origin, leaving a significant impact on global design history. Among his most notable creations is the REY CHAIR. Created in 1971, this chair has captured hearts globally. Over 1.5 million units of the REY CHAIR have been sold worldwide. The seemingly simple silhouette of the REY CHAIR is realised thanks to an innovative construction devised by Bruno Rey. The patented wood-metal joint ensures the wooden chair's exceptional strength and stability. All achieved without screws. "To me, the REY CHAIR is an immensely sincere piece. Its design comprises only a few components, yet the method of connecting them defines the chair's strength, comfort, and aesthetic allure," shares Rolf Hay. Made from natural beechwood, the REY STOOL is a stool that complements the collection. Like other items in the series, it can be customised with a choice of original lacquer colours.
