Skandiamo continues its collaboration series DESIGN INSPIRES by presenting another video inspiration from the event space at VYNVYTIS STUDIO based in Kaunas. Meet the studio's founder, Ieva Marija, whose design infuses everyday life and reflects the rhythm of events.

Embrace bold colours, dare to experiment by combining the unexpected, and don't shy away from simple solutions – this was our credo while crafting this inspirational narrative.

Ieva Marija, founder of Vynvytis studio, offers five tips for hosting an exceptional party:

1. Informal celebration format

Don't require your guests to spend the entire evening sitting. Instead, allow them to move freely, socialise, share food, and visit different areas like the bar or the lounge – this will create a welcoming party atmosphere.

2. Table décor

Use your finest tableware, even if they are mismatched – it adds a playful touch. Edible decorations like fruits and vegetables are also perfect for table décor. Arrange seasonal flowers in a striking vase or water jug, complemented by colourful candles. Portable lamps, ceramic pieces, wicker bags, or even paper-cut napkins also make ideal table decorations.

3. Sharing food

Don't shy away from simple food presentation ideas. Place whole fresh bread on the table, allowing guests to tear, slice the cheese, add fruit and blend flavours as they wish. Some enjoy the sweet and salty mix, whereas others prefer sweet and sour.

4. Friends' playlist

Before your guests arrive, ask each to send a song that represents them to create an engaging playlist for the evening. This way, every guest will hear their favourite tunes.

5. The highlight of the evening

Ensure there is a standout activity that becomes the evening's highlight. Consider a live musician, a cake procession to the dance floor, karaoke, or even a projector showing classic films. This will definitely inject playfulness into your celebration.
