The company „Selton“ was founded in 1960, and its successful start came in 1964 when the then director Peter Holmblad began collaborating with the renowned Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen. The result of this collaboration was the now-famous „Cylinda-Line“ tableware design series, launched in 1967. The „Cylinda-Line“ tableware immediately gained attention due to its clear, refined, and functional design. After Arne Jacobsen's death in 1971, „Selton“ began working with the young designer Erik Magnussen. His first product created for the company was a stainless steel vacuum jug with a unique lid. The jug became the best-selling product in the company’s history in 1977.
