Simon Karkov graduated from the Danish Academy of Architecture. Since the 1960s, he has worked in several architecture firms in Denmark. Over the last ten years, he has spent most of his time working for the Frederiksberg Municipality. Throughout these years, the designer has left his mark on large-scale projects, such as the architecture of the Frederiksberg Hospital and high school. Today, the designer enjoys his retirement in Turkey, working on various personal projects. „As soon as an idea arises, I immediately capture it on paper, and later transform it into a model. The model is refined for some time until it is finally good enough for the final prototype. I dream of finding a new way to create self-constructing furniture and to implement this concept on large-scale products, as it inspires and fascinates me.”
