Per Lütken (1916–1998) was an exceptional master of Danish glass design and one of the most influential designers at Holmegaard. He worked at the Holmegaard glass factory from 1942 until his death in 1998, breathing life into more than 3,000 glass designs. Many of his collections have become classics and are synonymous with what Holmegaard is known for today. Per Lütken was a truly inspiring figure at Holmegaard. Known for his perfectionism, he set high standards for the glassblowers he worked with. When they complained that his designs were too difficult to blow, Lütken’s ambitious response was always: „Well, who said it should be easy?“
