„Norm“ is a dynamic Danish design duo consisting of architects Kasper Rønn (b. 1976) and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen (b. 1976), both graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. As modernists, they believe that design should be driven by function and real purpose, not just creative inspiration. This approach is evident in their work across both architecture and industrial design, where function, production processes, and form are considered equally important. While their focus is rooted in Scandinavian design traditions, their work is also influenced by Japanese culture, the Arts & Crafts and Shaker movements, among others. Although they are drawn to refined minimalism, „Norm“ designs resist easy categorization. Their work is functional, minimalist, poetic, and timeless – highlighting the principles of modern Scandinavian design, crafted with a deep sensitivity to natural materials and meticulous attention to detail. One of their most successful creations is the „Milk“ table lamp for „&Tradition“, an innovative design made of wood and semi-transparent glass.
