Having learned the trades of a butcher and carpenter, Michael Bihain began studying interior design at the St. Luc Institute in Liège and at Hull University. After completing his studies, he opened his studio "BihainProd" in London. He currently works with various furniture and accessory manufacturers. In addition to his professional career as a designer and interior architect, Michael also teaches at the St. Luc Institute in Liège. In 2007, Michael's "Mosquito" chair was nominated for the Milano "Design Report" award, and he also received the "Coup d'Eclat" cultural award. Together with Belgian designer Cédric Callewaert, he won the "ParckDesign" competition. Michael's works are continuously exhibited at international shows, and the Seoul Design Museum holds several of his works in its collection. Michael's creations are a symbiosis of contemporary lifestyle and collective memory.
