Michael Bang (1942–2013) was the son of Jacob E. Bang, the first designer at Holmegaard. During the 1960s and 1970s, Michael worked as a designer at the Odense Glass Factory. In 1980, he and his family moved to Holmegaard, where he took charge of designing opal white glass lamps – a specialty of the glassworks. His contributions played a significant role in shaping Holmegaard’s identity in lighting design, combining functional clarity with elegant craftsmanship.
