Maria Kariis graduated in 1998 from Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, specializing in industrial design, and also studied at the University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Sweden. After completing her studies, she founded her own design company. Eight years later, in 2006, she began working with Holmegaard, where she started her journey with glass design. One of her notable contributions is the 2Lips vase collection, inspired by the elegant form of tulips. This range stands out as a beautiful example of sculptural and decorative glass artistry.
