Malene Bjelke is a Danish sculptor educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. For much of her career, she worked as a costume designer in theatre, only founding her own studio in 2008 at Kronborg Castle. In her studio, she creates small figurative sculptures that portray human characters with striking expression and emotional depth – each figure capturing a unique persona inspired by real life.
