Danish designer Louise Campbell (born in 1970) studied at the London College of Furniture before completing her industrial design degree at the Royal Danish Academy in 1995. The daughter of a Dane and a Brit, Louise grew up and studied in both countries – a dual influence that’s clearly reflected in her design aesthetic. Her work primarily focuses on furniture and lighting, though she also engages in product and interior design. Her client list is broad and diverse, including names such as Louis Poulsen, Zanotta, HAY, Royal Copenhagen, Holmegaard, Stelton, Muuto, Interstop, and even the Danish Ministry of Culture. Louise Campbell’s creations are known for being playful and experimental, often revealing fresh perspectives on everyday objects, materials, and production techniques. Some of her most iconic works include the Prince chair for HAY, the Collage lamp for Louis Poulsen, and The More the Merrier candleholder designed for Muuto. In recognition of her contributions to design, she has received numerous awards, including the Prince Eugen Medal, and in 2005 she was nominated as Danish Designer of the Year.
