Lena Bergström is one of Sweden’s most renowned glass designers, long associated with the Orrefors glassworks. In addition to her work in glass, she also specializes in textiles. Lena says she is drawn to the fragility of glass and the strength of textiles – her textile designs often feature a clear graphic expression, while her glass creations tend to be more organic in form. Her work has received numerous awards, including 12 Excellent Swedish Design honors and 3 Elle Decoration design awards. Several of her pieces are part of permanent collections at the National Museum in Stockholm, the Röhsska Museum of Fashion, Design and Decorative Arts in Gothenburg, the Cleveland Museum of Art in the USA, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
