The legendary name KOMPLOT DESIGN represents the collaboration between Danish architect Poul Christiansen and Russian-born designer Boris Berlin. Founded in 1987, the studio created numerous acclaimed design objects over its active years. After 24 years of close and fruitful collaboration, the two designers eventually chose to pursue independent paths. As stated on their website: “After 24 years of close and fruitful cooperation, and many design dialogues, KOMPLOT decided to give each other creative space…” Today, Boris Berlin continues his work under the name ISKOS-BERLIN, while Poul Christiansen pursues individual projects. KOMPLOT DESIGN’s work is best characterized by creative boldness, an experimental spirit, and a keen aesthetic sense. Their most iconic designs are still in production with renowned global manufacturers such as FRITZ HANSEN, HAY, LE KLINT, GUBI, and many others.
