José María Reina (1951–2016) was a self-taught designer known for his versatility and creativity. He belonged to the generation of designers who helped establish Barcelona as a hub for industrial design. His work spanned a wide range of disciplines – from furniture to jewelry design – and it was this diversity that ultimately inspired him to create timepieces. His clocks are marked by a renewed aesthetic, reflected in both their form and the materials used in production. Thanks to José María Reina, clocks regained their status as decorative and prestigious interior elements – adding character not only to living spaces but also to offices and public environments.
