Japanese designer Jin Kuramoto was born and raised on a small, remote island in Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture. Growing up in a rural area surrounded by water, he developed a deep, heartfelt connection to both nature and people. In 2008, he founded the Jin Kuramoto Design Studio, where he creates a wide range of products – from homeware and accessories to furniture. For Jin, the creative process is essential. By touching, listening to the quiet voice of materials, and embracing experimentation, he allows himself the freedom to make mistakes and grow. His distinctive work has earned international acclaim and has been recognized with several prestigious design awards – including Red Dot, Good Design, and iF Product Design Awards.
