Inga Sempé is a French designer living and working in Paris. She graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI) in Paris in 1993 and later studied at the Villa Medici, Académie de France in Rome (2000–2001). In 2007, she received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.

Sempé’s work is known for its lightness, strong character, and distinctive tactile quality. The concept of everyday usability lies at the core of her design approach. She often seeks out materials with unique properties to meet the functional needs of daily life. For the design brand HAY, she has created a range of standout accessories, including the LETTER BOX, PINORAMA, RUBAN, PANIER, and the MATIN table lamps.
