Ib Kofod-Larsen was a popular designer of the last century whose work continues to captivate today. Born in 1921, he graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 1948, he won a competition organized by HOLMEGAARD and was awarded the Danish Joiners Guild Prize. His career gained momentum around the 1950s, and his work spanned almost all continents: Germany, Sweden, Japan, and the United States. The objects designed by Kofod-Larsen are characterized by clean lines, minimalist forms, and emphasis on rich materials.
