“A thing you’ve always needed. An unnoticed object at a flea market that sparks the imagination. An unexpected, alternative integration of function” – these are just a few of the scenarios that inspire designer Ditte Buus Nielsen. Educated at Aalborg University, Ditte continues to explore the path of creative discovery. She established her own design studio in Aalborg and, since 2014, has also led the design department at SKAGERAK. By observing everyday life, Ditte finds an endless source of inspiration – helping her create not only relevant, contemporary design objects, but also pieces that, passed from generation to generation, carry the potential to extend an authentic human story.
