Designer Britt Bonnesen draws her inspiration from the world of fashion. Before opening her own interior design studio, she spent ten years working in the fashion industry. From the very beginning, she played a significant role in the development of Normann Copenhagen. Some of her most recent creations include the Brick and Frame cushions, as well as the Swing vase and Rocking glasses.
“My grandfather, uncle, and father were all glassblowers at Holmegaard, so I’ve always had a deep passion for glass design. I love my little black notebook, which I carry with me everywhere – it’s full of ideas and thoughts that may one day become reality. I’m fascinated by hotel design; I observe the details and draw inspiration from the surroundings, the food, interiors, staff uniforms, and even the hand soap. The fashion world also inspires me, as I truly believe that fashion and design have a lot in common.”
