Bodil Kjær (b. 1932) is a Danish designer and architect. Raised on the Jutland Peninsula in Denmark, she studied and worked in London, New York, and Washington, D.C. While in the United States, she designed office furniture that gained international acclaim. As Bodil herself describes it, her success stemmed from viewing design as a complex problem-solving process and her ability to harmonize function with aesthetics. Her most iconic works were created during the 1960s.
