“In my view, design is a practice where you take a simple, everyday object and ask yourself how it could be done differently,” says designer Aurélien Barbry, describing his creative process. Born and raised in Paris, Barbry’s work clearly reflects the French design tradition, yet his strong interest in Scandinavian design also influences his approach. One such influence led him to establish his own design studio in Copenhagen in 2007. His client list includes some of the world’s most renowned manufacturers: Alessi, Cori, Ecruis & Raynaud, Georg Jensen, Normann Copenhagen, Menu, and many others.
