In philology, an anagram is the rearrangement of a word's letters or syllables to form a new word or meaningful phrase. What might an anagram signify in the realms of design and interior decor? Designer Sam Weller attempts to answer this with his creation – a lamp named ANAGRAM. At first glance, ANAGRAM resembles a classic desk lamp seen in wood-panelled offices atop handcrafted wooden desks, but upon closer examination, the modern material choices and precise design details quickly alter this classic image. Constructed from durable steel and anodised aluminium, ANAGRAM captures the essence of modern life and exudes a non-binding character. Besides illuminating, it conveys subtle design intricacies, a stylish profile and inspires confidence in contemporary future visions.
