During the 1950s and 1960s, Arne Jacobsen designed numerous houses in Rødovre, a suburb of Copenhagen. One of these was the Rødovre Town Hall, unveiled in 1956. The building drew inspiration from the General Motors Technical Center near Detroit, USA. Utilising straight lines, classical proportions, and a contemporary approach, Arne Jacobsen took charge of not only the building's form but its full interior, furniture, and details.
CITY HALL ALARM is a table clock with an alarm feature, from a 1956 design. A distinct feature of this series is the stylized, graphic dial, resonating with the minimalist ethos akin to the Rødovre Town Hall. The classic black version underscores the design's iconicity and elegance. An integrated "snooze" mode lends this classic design a strikingly modern twist.
